Spanish vehicle production falls 4.9% in June amid electrification push

Why the drop

Anfac director general José López-Tafall stated: "Las fábricas españolas están en plena transformación de sus líneas de producción para fabricar los nuevos modelos electrificados. Es un proceso exigente, que explica ajustes puntuales" Source: ABC. He also warned about international competition and called for supportive policies like the Auto+ plan Source: ABC. Exports

Exports fell 9.6% in June to 165,755 units, and 3.3% in the first half to 1.01 million units . France, Germany, and the UK were top destinations, with declines of 11%, 0%, and 21% respectively in June .
