A possible cable theft has caused signalling problems and delays on the high-speed rail line between Madrid and Andalusia, as well as the Madrid-Toledo route. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening and was resolved by late night, according to Adif.
This incident is the third cable theft on this line in recent days. On July 12, another theft between Venta La Inés and Brazatortas (Ciudad Real) caused delays, and the previous week a theft between Ciudad Real and Malagón also disrupted services Source: ABC. The repeated incidents raise concerns about security along the corridor.
