Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on Wednesday denounced what he called a pattern of "harassment and demolition" against his wife Begoña Gómez and his brother David, and asked the justice system to "play fair" after a judge imposed precautionary measures on Gómez that he said "exceed all limits of reasonableness."
Sánchez told Congress that the charges against his family are unfounded and follow a pattern: "First the fake news, then the complaint, and finally the reputational damage that plays with the slow pace of justice."
