The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation have announced that Jay-Z will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The rapper and entrepreneur, who has produced the show through his company Roc Nation since 2019, will make his debut as the main performer, succeeding Bad Bunny.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell revealed that when the league first partnered with Roc Nation in 2019, he made a single request: that Jay-Z perform when the time was right. Jay-Z initially told Goodell, "If this is about me performing at the Super Bowl, we can end this conversation right now." Seven years later, the moment has arrived. The announcement comes during the 30th anniversary of Jay-Z's debut album, Reasonable Doubt, which he celebrated with sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium, London, Paris, and most recently at SoFi Stadium.
Jay-Z has won 25 Grammy Awards and four Emmy Awards, and was the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (2017) and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (2021). His recent tour featured guest appearances from Beyoncé, Rihanna, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and his daughter Blue Ivy. The NFL has not confirmed whether other artists will join him on stage.
Roc Nation will serve as executive producer, with Hamish Hamilton directing the show. The broadcast will be available on ESPN, ABC, Disney+, and Univision in Spanish.
