El Hormiguero has solidified its position as the most-watched program on Spanish television in 2026, maintaining a dominant lead over competitors despite fierce competition from La 1’s La Revuelta. According to data from FiftyFiveBlue, the Antena 3 show achieved an average screen share of 13.7% and attracted 1.673 million viewers annually, surpassing formats like Pasapalabra and Aquí la tierra. The program led 84% of its broadcasts this year, totaling 102 nights of victory.
The battle for prime-time supremacy has largely been defined by the duel between Pablo Motos’ format and David Broncano’s La Revuelta. Of the 123 nights these two shows faced each other, El Hormiguero won approximately 94% of the time (113 victories). While La Revuelta posted a respectable annual average of 10.9% and 1.284 million viewers, it trailed El Hormiguero by nearly three percentage points.
On Monday, October 26, El Hormiguero continued its streak by leading the night with 13.6% and 1.678 million viewers after hosting Juan Jesús Vivas. This marked a slight dip from his previous appearance but still secured the top spot against rivals like First Dates and La isla de las tentaciones. Meanwhile, En tierra lejana maintained leadership in its specific slot with 12.6%, and La Revuelta rebounded slightly to 12.2% following a historic peak earlier in the week.
Analysts note that El Hormiguero’s success lies not just in peak numbers but in consistency within a fragmented media landscape. Its annual average exceeds La 1’s by 1.2 points, Telecinco’s by five points, and Cuatro’s by 5.3 points. This regularity has allowed the show to remain a pillar of Antena 3’s programming, proving that its dominance is structural rather than dependent on isolated viral moments.
