Dominican authorities have arrested Alejandra Rojas Saldaña, alias "Yolaska", and are actively searching for Yeifri Riquerbin Batista Martínez, alias "Jefri", for the kidnapping and assault of a German citizen in Puerto Plata. The victim, who had been in a six-month relationship with Rojas Saldaña, was tied up and robbed in his home before being forcibly taken to another location. He escaped by jumping from a vehicle at a gas station on the Puerto Plata-Sosúa highway.
According to police reports, Rojas Saldaña used her relationship with the German man to gain access to his residence, where she and Batista Martínez allegedly tied him up and stole cash, bank cards, and a cell phone. The suspects then attempted to transfer €40,000 from the victim's bank accounts but were unsuccessful due to security systems. They then decided to move the victim to another location.
During the drive, the suspects stopped at a gas station in Montellano. The German man took advantage of a moment when Rojas Saldaña was distracted and jumped from the vehicle to safety. Batista Martínez fled in a second vehicle, also belonging to the victim.
Rojas Saldaña was arrested in the Los Bordas sector of Puerto Plata. Police recovered €100, $10 USD, and 5,300 Dominican pesos from her, believed to be linked to the robbery. Two vehicles were recovered, including the victim's white Honda CR-V. The search for Batista Martínez and any other possible accomplices continues.
