Brad Pitt returns to San Sebastian after 17 years for 'Heart of the Beast'

Brad Pitt will return to the San Sebastián Film Festival after a 17-year absence to present Heart of the Beast, the new survival thriller directed by David Ayer. The festival's 74th edition runs from 18 to 26 September, and the film will screen out of competition in the Official Selection Source: Euronews.

The film

Heart of the Beast is an adventure survival thriller in which Pitt plays James Belmont, a retired Army Special Forces officer who survives a plane crash with his former military working dog, Odin. Trapped in the Alaskan wilderness, they must fight to stay alive and return to civilisation. The cast includes J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe; the film is written by Cameron Alexander and produced by Pitt, Olivia Hamilton, Marty Bowen and Ayer, with Damien Chazelle among the executive producers. Festival return

Pitt last attended San Sebastián in 2009, when he presented Inglourious Basterds with director Quentin Tarantino in the Perlak section. His return marks a notable reunion with Ayer, with whom he previously worked on Fury (2014) Source: Euronews.
