Tren Maya launches Janal restaurant train between Mérida and Izamal

Tren Maya launched its first restaurant train, Janal, on a gastronomic journey between Mérida and Izamal, blending regional cuisine with cultural experiences. The word "Janal" means "food" in Maya, and the service aims to offer more than just transportation Source: excelsiormx.

The inaugural trip

The train departed Mérida at 11:40 and arrived in Izamal at 12:30, where passengers took part in a ceremony of gratitude to Mother Earth and a welcome from Mayor Melissa Puga Rodríguez Source: Milenio. Culinary experience
