The Spanish Institute for the Elderly and Social Services (Imserso) will begin selling trips for the 2026-2027 season on September 14, with a staggered calendar by region. Bookings open on September 14 for preferred users in Andalusia, Aragon, Castile and León, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Melilla, Navarra and La Rioja, and on September 15 for non-preferred users. In Asturias, Catalonia, Castile-La Mancha, Valencian Community, Ceuta, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Murcia and the Basque Country, preferred users can book from September 16 and non-preferred from September 17 . Between September 14 and 18, bookings are limited to the quota of each province; from September 19, remaining places from any province can be booked .
The Imserso has started sending 2,938,156 letters to the 4,602,255 accredited people, including a four-digit code needed for online bookings . The Ministry of Social Rights has distributed 36% of places proportionally across months to avoid concentration and support off-season tourism .
