Pablo Mateo, a Dominican urologist with a Fellowship in Advanced Andrology from the LYX Institute in Madrid, Spain, presented a minimally invasive penile girth enhancement procedure using hyaluronic acid at the Holiday Inn hotel in Santo Domingo. The technique, performed on an outpatient basis, aims to increase penile circumference with natural-looking results, offering an alternative to conventional surgery .
Mateo highlighted the role of certified urologists with training in andrology, sexual medicine, and penile procedures, given their comprehensive understanding of male genital anatomy and physiology. He also noted that his recent fellowship in Madrid covered advanced andrological techniques, including penile girth enhancement, Peyronie's disease, and penile prosthetic surgery .
With this launch, Mateo aims to position penile girth enhancement as a medical procedure grounded in specialized training, proper patient selection, anatomical knowledge, informed consent, and follow-up care. "Penile girth enhancement is not a fad: it is a medical procedure and must be performed with knowledge, training, and responsibility," he said .
