Sanut will host the fifth edition of “A la granja, sin salir de la ciudad” this weekend, offering families a free, educational farm experience in the capital. The event runs Saturday 15 and Sunday 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Agrotienda Sanut patio on the Duarte highway (kilometer 10½), with free entry for all .
Visitors can interact with farm animals, join guided tours, and learn about Dominican agricultural production processes. The program aims to promote food education, respect for nature, and appreciation of local producers .
Alma Lajara, Sanut's brand manager, said the initiative has become a space to strengthen family bonds and spark children's curiosity about where food comes from. “We want families to enjoy together and children to discover, in a practical and entertaining way, how food travels from the field to their tables,” she said .
Sanut says the success of previous editions has encouraged the company to continue the event, which has become a meeting point for thousands of families seeking a rural experience without leaving the city . Both sources agree on the event's details and objectives, with no reported disagreements.
