Prime Video's 'Betty la Fea: La Historia Continúa' will premiere its third season, titled 'Betty la Fea: Más Fea Que Nunca', on August 28, reuniting the original cast for the first time since the 1999 telenovela. The first season of the sequel, released in 2024, broke global audience records for a Latin American title on Prime Video and became the most-watched series or film on the platform in Colombia .
One source notes that actress Paula Peña, who played Sofía, was absent from the 2024 season but appears in recent Instagram previews, though some original cast members have passed away .
