Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are married. The couple tied the knot on 11 August 2026 in a civil ceremony at their home in Cascais, Portugal, exactly ten years after they first met at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Georgina worked as a sales assistant . The wedding was described as "a private and intimate moment attended by their five children" by the Brunswick Group, which handles Ronaldo's public relations . The couple announced the news on Instagram with a photo of their hands wearing wedding rings, which received more than 3 million likes within 30 minutes .
The guest list was kept to a minimum: besides their five children, only four witnesses attended, including Ronaldo's childhood friend Miguel Paixão and Georgina's sister Ivana Rodríguez . The couple married under a separation-of-assets regime . After the civil ceremony, they attended a mass to bless the union at the sanctuary in Fátima . Georgina wore a white skirt-and-jacket ensemble with satin shoes, while Ronaldo wore a beige suit and loafers .
Vogue published exclusive photos of the wedding, shot by Juergen Teller, on its website on 16 August, with a print edition expected in September . In the accompanying interview, Georgina explained her choice of an intimate ceremony: "When I was little, I dreamed of the biggest castle, the grandest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. Now I say: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home." . The photos also show Georgina wearing Chopard jewellery and the couple working out at home .
The newlyweds have returned to Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr, whose domestic season starts on Saturday . Georgina shared a video on social media of Ronaldo swimming in their pool in Riyadh, captioning it "This is how my husband wakes me up" .
