Netflix's animated hit Las Guerreras K-Pop (KPop: Demon Hunters) has spawned a wave of merchandise and confirmed a sequel. The film, produced by Sony Pictures Animation, follows the fictional K-pop group HUNTR/X—Rumi, Mira, and Zoey—who secretly battle demons.
Mattel has released musical dolls of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, each featuring a button that plays a snippet of the song "Golden." The official price is 680 pesos, but retailers like Juguetrón and Mercado Libre list them around 1,199 pesos, while Amazon prices vary near 1,000 pesos. McDonald's Mexico confirmed Happy Meal toys featuring HUNTR/X and the antagonist group Saja Boys, though details on release date and pricing are pending.
The Spanish-language soundtrack includes "Dorada (Golden)," "Sigo el plan (How It's Done)," and "Nocaut (Takedown)" by HUNTR/X, plus tracks by Saja Boys. The franchise has generated 4.6 billion social media impressions, with 2.3 billion linked to the "Golden" lyric video on YouTube, and the Roblox experience has amassed 11.5 million hours of play.
Netflix has confirmed a second part. Director Maggie Kang said, "This is only the beginning," while producer Chris Appelhans expressed excitement to "write their next chapter."
