Police in Mexico City rescued a 24-year-old woman who was attempting to jump from the rooftop of a shopping mall in Coyoacán on July 26. The incident occurred at a plaza on Eje 10 Sur and Aurora Street in the Pueblo Los Reyes neighborhood.
Officers from the Secretariat of Security (SSC) were alerted by private security guards and found the woman on the other side of a perimeter railing, apparently intending to jump. Paramedics from the Rescue and Medical Emergencies Squadron (ERUM) treated her at the scene. She was diagnosed with an anxiety attack and depressive neurosis. Officers contacted her mother, who arrived and was given information about mental health services in the city.
