An external investigation commissioned by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has confirmed that the organization had a relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein between 2011 and 2014, but found no evidence of payments or involvement in his criminal activities. The probe, conducted by law firm WilmerHale and released on Tuesday, reviewed the foundation's interactions with Epstein.
Bill Gates has repeatedly expressed regret for his association with Epstein. Last month, he testified before Congress that he was introduced to Epstein in 2011, three years after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution. Gates stated that their meetings were focused on philanthropy and ended in 2014. He has denied witnessing any criminal conduct and faces no charges. Source: excelsiormx
The investigation is part of broader scrutiny following the release of U.S. Justice Department files earlier this year, which included photos of Gates with Epstein. The scandal has implicated universities, banks, and political figures globally.
