DA and Navy provide medical care to thousands in Monte Plata

More than 15 medical specialties and 100 doctors were offered in a multidisciplinary medical operation in Monte Plata, organized by the Dominican Republic's Airport Department (DA) and the Navy (Armada). The initiative, part of the "Airports with the Community” program, aimed to serve between 2,000 and 3,000 residents.

Services provided

The event included cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, urology, and many other specialties. Additionally, over 3,000 food rations and an equal number of wheelchairs were distributed, along with free medications, hearing aids, cribs, and baby kits. Barber services and toys for children were also available.

Reactions

Víctor Pichardo, director of DA, expressed gratitude for the civic action, stating that it reflects the vision of President Luis Abinader. Vice Admiral Juan Crisóstomo Martínez, Navy commander, highlighted the joint effort to assist the population. Beneficiary Juan Tomás Belén praised the organization of the operation.
