Zendaya has announced she will take a break from acting after completing a year of five major film and television releases in 2026.
At the New York premiere of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, Zendaya told Entertainment Tonight that she needs to "disappear for a while" once her promotional commitments end. She described 2026 as a "torbellino" (whirlwind) of constant travel and work, leaving her mind "all over the place."
Her 2026 slate includes the final season of Euphoria, the drama The Drama (with Robert Pattinson), The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day (with Tom Holland), and Dune: Part Three. She also voiced a new character in Shrek 5.
In an earlier interview with Elle, Zendaya expressed pride in her work but said she would need a "small break" after this period. She admitted that she often misses working when she rests.
