Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) announced on Thursday a paid service, Truth API, that will give financial institutions access to posts from the top 10 Truth Social accounts — including President Donald Trump — milliseconds faster than conventional notifications, with a launch set for August 1, 2026.
Truth API is designed for high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms that rely on speed to react to market-moving information. TMTG says it will deliver posts in a machine-readable format, 24 hours a day, and that clients are already signed up. The company expects the API to become "a significant and recurring revenue stream," according to interim CEO Kevin McGurn.
Trump frequently uses Truth Social to announce policies that move markets, such as imposing tariffs or proposing a 20% toll on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz — a decision he later reversed on the same platform. Meanwhile, a CNN investigation found that Trump promoted over 20 companies on Truth Social shortly after buying their stock, raising ethical questions about potential conflicts of interest. The White House denies any wrongdoing.
