Mexico Homicide Rate Drops 48% Under Sheinbaum; Eight States Still Dominate

The daily average of intentional homicides in Mexico fell 48% from September 2024 to June 2026, dropping from 86.9 to 45.4 victims per day, according to data presented by President Claudia Sheinbaum. Eight states account for 54% of all homicides nationally.
