UNADE graduates 144 medical specialists in 17 areas

The Universidad Nacional para la Defensa (UNADE), under the Ministry of Defense (MIDE), graduated 144 new medical specialists in 17 specialties from its two military teaching hospitals. The ceremony, held at the Salón Independencia of the Ministry of Defense, was led by Major General Miguel Ángel Rubio Báez on behalf of Defense Minister Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, alongside Health Minister Víctor Atallah and Higher Education Minister Rafael Santos Badía Source: hoydo.

The graduates were trained at the Hospital Universitario Docente Central de las Fuerzas Armadas and the Hospital Militar Universitario Docente FARD "Dr. Ramón de Lara". Key specialties include:

• Medicina Interna, Cirugía General, Obstetricia y Ginecología, Pediatría, Anestesiología, Ortopedia y Traumatología, Emergenciología y Cuidados Críticos, Gastroenterología, Nefrología, Otorrinolaringología y Neurocirugía Source: elcaribedr.

UNADE Rector Major General Rafael Vásquez Espínola emphasized that health is a pillar of human security and national defense.
