The 15th edition of the Semana Internacional de la Poesía (International Poetry Week) in Santo Domingo will be preceded by a pre-inaugural poetry recital on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Sala Aída Cartagena Portalatín of the Biblioteca Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña. The event marks the beginning of activities leading up to the main festival Source: El Caribe.
The recital will feature two Mexican poets—Jocelyn Pantoja and Manuel de J. Jiménez—alongside seven Dominican poets: José Mármol, Soledad Álvarez, Basilio Belliard, Ibeth Guzmán, José Enrique Delmonte, Plinio Chahín, and Mateo Morrison, all members of the festival's organizing committee Source: Hoy.
