Nothing Ear (3a) launch with improved audio and recording

Nothing has officially launched the Ear (3a), a mid-range pair of wireless earbuds priced at €99, available from July 7. The new model brings a larger 12mm driver, enhanced active noise cancellation (ANC), and a unique audio recording feature directly from the earbuds.

Design and battery

The Ear (3a) retain Nothing's signature transparent aesthetic, now with a rounded charging case inspired by classic pillboxes. A new LED indicator shows battery level, and the earbuds come in four colors: black, white, yellow, and rose pink. An extra-small ear tip size (XS) improves fit. Audio and performance

A 12mm dynamic driver delivers 5dB deeper bass than the previous generation, while a PMI diaphragm from aerospace engineering enhances clarity and treble. The earbuds support Hi-Res Audio Wireless and LDAC codec for 24-bit/96 kHz streaming. Software and recording features

A standout addition is Audio Snapshot, which uses 32MB onboard storage to record audio clips or phone calls up to two hours without needing the phone.
