The Trump administration has reached a $450 million multi-state settlement with chemical giant Chemours Co. over illegal discharges of PFAS "forever chemicals." This is the first federal enforcement settlement against a PFAS manufacturer.
Chemours will pay a $22.5 million civil penalty and spend $90 million over 15 years to mitigate PFAS discharges in West Virginia, North Carolina, and New Jersey Source: AP News.
