Barcelona have exercised their purchase option on 18-year-old Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim, signing him until June 2029. The club bought him from Al Ahly for a reported €1.5 million, with performance bonuses and a 15% sell-on clause Source: lavanguardia.
Abdelkarim joined Barcelona's Juvenil A on loan in January and made an immediate impact. He scored six goals in nine league matches, including a hat-trick against Montecarlo Source: infobae. Abdelkarim is currently with Egypt at the 2026 World Cup, having featured in matches against Belgium and New Zealand. He became the youngest Egyptian and Arab player to debut in the tournament Source: lavanguardia.
